Mark 7 v.24-30
********
Jesus did go to Tyre, Sidon
And there met a woman
A Syrian of Phoenicia
She did with Him confer
Lord, my daughter has a demon
A spirit, unclean one
Falling at His feet, she did plead
That He would meet her need
Her desire that He would cast out
The demon with no doubt
Cast it out from her daughter, so
She would her healing know
But Jesus said, Let the children
And too the women, men
The children of God, Jews they be
Let them be first filled, see
For \'tis not good the children\'s bread
To take, that dogs be fed
As little dogs, as household pets
Cared for with no regrets
True Lord, she said, and I Gentile
Am as a dog, my style
Under the table do I eat
Children\'s crumbs at their feet
For this saying, Jesus did say
Go home now, make your way
Your faith is shown, your daughter sure
Is healed, demon no more
And so was true, for she did see
Her daughter at home free
Laid on her bed in peace and calm
No demon more to harm
