Temple of Moon

The night slides in -
Sealing itself to the earth,
Here in the Temple of Moon.
Let something come from nothing,
A beautiful cataclysm.
We live for this -
Drunk on midnight and silver stars,
Blood in the wine - bitter and beautiful.
All the ages of the earth
Pass in the slow drag of your fingers
Across stone,
Stitching our memory into the rock.
Sacred lines, holy poetry -
Laugh mad and sing wild,
Love cannot save us from fate.
We only dance when there\'s no one around,
Around and around on our holy ground.
