Quivered breath,
Drawn in shaky,
Let out stumbling.
Heartbeats skipped,
Blood singing.
What I can\'t say out loud,
My face shows the world.
Sure of what I feel,
Not sure of what to do.
Another direction,
My head spinning in circles.
A crossroad of life,
4 roads,
3 choices.
One impossible,
One a challenge.
The third the most real,
But the most unbelievable.
Now calmer.
Excitement fading,
My confusion returned.
What to do,
With this beating heart of mine?
Flames igniting,
Life winking them out.
A heavy burden,
Rocks in my heart.
Pulling me down.
One above all others,
But I will forever go unseen.
Unheard.
A face in endless crowds,
A friend to laugh with,
And a rare acquaintance.
Lead drowning me,
Never letting me up.
The age matters.
As a difference,
As a reminder,
As an anchor.
But my heart is still beating,
Waiting for my ship to keep sailing,
Waiting for my anchor to let go.
I want to sail the seas,
Never looking back.
I want to live and feel alive,
Oh, what to do,
With this beating heart of mine?
