Boogeyman

The moonlight offers sympathy

As I stare at an empty street tonight.

Are you held up by a your drunken state?

Or the poison flowing through your veins?

The more I wait, the worse I fear

Until at last, your shape appears

And I watch you stumble home in the dark

In a toxic haze that numbs your pain.

So afraid

To tell me what does haunt your mind

And so this sad scene plagues my eyes.

Until your world\'s no longer blue,

Your boogeyman still waits for you.

A somber veil he watches through.

Until a sober mind you keep

Our nightmares will not ever cease.

In darkest dreams I wish you peace.
