As I touch you
Your oblong face sparkles
At the touch of my thumb
Too aged for all my fingers
Your flat frame to fondle
You patiently wait for my next cuddle
Like a lion stalking its prey
Knowing one gaffe could be fatal
Sending me to wrong hunting ground
Exiling me to territories hostile
You arrived after paying your dowry
Empowering me to keenly slave
For half-truths and lies they sell
You cruelly owning me
I freely yielding to your heartless power
Never smiling back, nor grieve
Nor spit, nor eat, burp, flatulate
At daybreak
Lying next to me
My spouse caresses your sibling
Awakened by your tedious cries
Claiming our attention
Well before our morning salutations
Or habitual kisses
Our devotion to you now whole
The sole demand for your submission
That we jolt you every now and then
And pay your provider, to keep you afloat
To keep us glued to your blank, hairless, toothless face
Now worshipped by millions
Fornicating with you in public
Buses, trains, cabs, banks, streets
Planes, schools, toilets, libraries, parks
With embedded ears
Listening to my commands
Dutifully complying
When out of juice or get lost
How we suffer painful withdrawals
Quaking with ire, declaring brazenly
My lover’s better ‘n yours
Till the next generation of lovers
Our loyalty and devotion stay flawless
I am human, you are not
You’re amassed, I evolved
The created ruling the maker
Your soullessness eroding my humanity
You are the cell phone
Trumping cells that built my form
Waiting for the next generation
Of your kinsfolk, no more held
But worn in place of specs
Fused into our mien
Where a virtual reality will
Be served from eye to brain
Wired ears to trap your sounds
Freeze my essence, till death do us part
