The School Bully

All night he tramps around your head

Steals sleep and dreams from your bed

You’re no good!

You are weak!

In the morning heart pounding you begin to twitch

You cannot bear the feeling, as your senses start their tricks

You can’t do this

You don’t belong

Yelling and screaming did not change your fate

She drove you to the door even though the clock said late

Frozen, you can’t move

Breathe or speak

Soothing voices like a lullaby pretend it’s all okay

But the million staring faces are real and never go away

Nowhere to hide

Nowhere to run

Pushing at your buttons, confusing you with words

You try to tell them please can you stop, but no one ever heard

Stop! Pleads your arm

As it strikes out just. Once.

The bully rubs his hands together with narcissistic glow

Look what you have done. Now you’ll have to go!

One phone call and it’s done. Your evil deed explained.

The bully puts down the phone without an ounce of shame.
