AJ

A waining conscious, becoming past tense

Once upon a time

Not so long ago

We tasted heaven

And thought little of its end

Living for the now

Worrying about the future

We never really questioned

This is where we belonged

And now time passes cruelly

And I fear my standards are

Falling, that good will never

Quite be there

Nothing will ever compare

To our eternal youth

It’s stupid to be so callous

And say

Today could be my last

But this has been enough

All this

That particular consciousness

Is all I’ll ever need

Once you’ve tasted heaven

Don’t sever

Hold on more tightly

Every day

And with all your might

Remember
