Misinterpretation

Where once there was a feeling,

Another now takes its place.

Frightened to admit the flaws,

Which I now am forced to face.

Surely reason quenches,

Doubtful, is it ever?

What meaning is there in such a thing,

If they are not tied together?

Certainty does not exist,

Only illusion, and its charade.

Truth woven like a shadow -

Hidden behind a palisade.

Madness begets expulsion,

Expulsion springs forth questions.

Inquiry should engender facts,

But in madness it has no answers.

Don\'t mistake kindness for ignorance,

Or compassion for civility;

Don\'t mistake my bravery for recklessness,

Or my vexation, for inequity.
