The Spruce Dorm
In the rear of a police car
I found myself one day
Delivered to somewhere far
Where for a month I’d stay
The others that were sent there
Came from all around
And at my arrival shared
That they were mentally sound
The food was good I’d say
Compared to that in jail
And we ate in a cafeteria each day
Unlike food brought to our cells
Each day there were fights
By many different ones
And always did excite
Then defused the conflicts some
Thank God there was a campus
Where we walked each day
And every day would calm us
And we thought ourselves OK
