Tune: Regent Square
(\'Lord of beauty, thine the splendour\')
Psalm 29
*********
Give to the LORD, O ye mighty
Glory and strength His e\'er be
Give Him the glory due His name
It a name of endless fame
Worship the LORD in the beauty
Of holiness, humble, free
The voice of the LORD is upon
The waters, glorious, none
Like to Him, His voice does thunder
People hear it, all, each one
His voice powerful, majestic
His storm-clouds they dark and thick
Voice of the LORD breaks the cedars
At His voice the forest stirs
Skips like a calf, like unicorn* (*e.g. rhino or ox)
Full of new life, as new-born
His voice divides the flames of fire* (*e.g. lightning)
Spoke into being each star
Voice of the LORD shakes wilderness
Makes the hinds* give birth, no less (*deer)
Powerful to forests destroy
In His temple all employ
Their voices to praise His glory
Now and to eternity
The LORD sits upon the flood, yes
Sits King for e\'er, we confess
The LORD will to His people give
strength and power, they shall live
He will bless His people with peace
His grace to us ne\'er shall cease
