am i really here in this strange land
where many a brother man is led to believe
he should hate and harm his fellow man
is this what mankind is meant to be
when inside we all feel compassion, love and charity
who would bring such conflict upon us
could it be there are those among us
who crave such power as to send us to kill,
wound, maim and suffer death for their cause
are we destined to be subdued by such power?
you read me and i know i am not alone
how do pacifists demonstrate strength?
the proverbial catch 22, for organised might
will crush those who disagree.
So organise and become powerful you may suggest.
but there lies the failure, for a leader would arise
and other eyes would covet leadership power
and yet another righteous power base would arise
how long before further conflict should arise?
and so... a new though enters my mind
a state of being which i had never though i would support
for i cannot see that humanity is ready for it
the beautiful state of \'pure\' anarchy
as yet a dream, we are not ready for such idealism
but will we survive to realise such peaceful co-existence?
