LENDING SOMEONE A GOOD BOOK ~ CAN CHANGE THEIR LIVES ~ YES !
NEITHER a Borrower nor a lender be !
Said William Shakespeare once to You & Me
For Borrowing dulls the edge of husbandry !
I might be able to BUY it tomorrow
But for today ~ I yours must borrow !
I*ll give it back intact ~ there*ll be no sorrow
So let*s be Lendin* & Borrowin* Fools ~ most borrowed
Are garden equipment ~ household tools
Lendin* & Borrowin* has tribal rules !
Next comes FOOD ~ a massive list
Beers ~ Lagers ~ Wines & Brahms & Liszt (CD\'s !)
Milk & Sugar & Eggs & Bread
Easy to Borrow ~ not shop instead
My next door Geezer has a massive ~ FREEZER !
Kitchen appliances ~ next on the list ~ Mixers &
Whiskers wont be missed ~ Microwaves & Cookers (slow)
But If I roger the FUSE ~ My NEIGHBOUR will BLOW !
So please Borrow & Lend ~ BUT MIND HOW YOU GO ! ! !
Thanks for visiting ~ comments please ~ Love Angela & Brian ๐งก๐๐งก
When I (BRIAN) lived in Liverpool we lent & borrowed everything ~
I guess it was the Irish Influence ! We had one wheelbarrow in the
Street ~ it was just available ~ someone had nicked it from Work !
The same was true of Mixers & Blenders and one was always being
sent *next door* (and vice versa) for a Loaf or some Eggs or for the
ubiquitous *cup of sugar*. In Essex my parents have *POSH* devices
like HEDGE TRIMMERS and LEAF BLOWERS but are always ready to
lend them if requested ~ and will always lend one of their CARS if
there is a need. Do you LEND & BORROW or does everyone in your
Street already have everything they need or are too proud to ask ?
