WHEN THE CLOCK STRIKES FOUR ~ EVERYTHING STOPS FOR TEA !
AN AFTERNOON TEA CEREMONY in England ~ was
Normally observed @ 4 O\'clock in the afternoon !
A Leaf Tea was selected and spooned into a preheated Teapot
Freshly boiled water was added ~ and the brew was stirred.
Then it was allowed to brew for several minutes .......
Each type of Tea had its own specific brewing time ! When
Ready the Tea was poured through a really .......
Nice Silver Strainer into a China Cup ~ with a matching Saucer !
One could add lemon or milk and / or sugar to taste.
One complements the Tea with petit crustless Sandwhiches
Nice plain Biscuits and assorted Pastries ~ AMEN !
The Afternoon Tea Ceremony is only observed in Posh Tea Rooms &
Elegant Ladies Circles. In the majority of Plebian Establishments
A Mug of Tea is unceremoniously served ~ brewed with a T*A B*G !
Thanks for visiting ~ comments welcome ~ Love BRIAN 💛💛💛
This poem was inspired by CHRISTINA 8\'s Poem yesterday
A CUP OF TEA ! Have you had the opportunity to savour
An Afternoon Tea Ceremony ? It is a dying Art ! The Pump
Room at BATH (UK) perform it perfectly and with a Live
String Quartet ! I am fortunate because in my Office ~ which
is in the Microbiology Lab ~ I have the equipment to brew myself
(and any visitors) a fresh brew of *Leaf Earl Grey* and a
Digestive Biscuit @ exactly 4pm each working day ~ AMEN !
