I want to hate you like never before,
Show you my coldness and so much more.
Make you realise that this is me,
And for just a split second- let you see,
That no-one is perfect inside out,
We all have our flaws, there’s no doubt.
And I am a human- just the same.
Blood and flesh with a different name.
So why do you label, expect and inspect?
And make me feel anger I have to suppress?
Why do you, point fingers my way,
See all my weaknesses and mistakes?
When beauty is truly what lies within-
In the broken hearts so burdened with sin.
In souls so black, painted with white,
Where only the good is ever insight.
But what you don’t see is what we hide,
Deep, dark secrets locked inside.
Words that only we can share,
In solace and solitude if we dare.
So don’t frown at me or put me down,
Rather open your eyes and look around.
Our feelings don’t speak so you don’t see,
And that’s the way it has to be.
So when the sun goes down, the moon shines bright.
The world it sleeps- not a person in sight.
Look up to the sky, and feel the pain,
Of millions and billions then feel ashamed.
For not being able to contain your greed,
And trying to make me someone I couldn’t be.
And I still want to hate you- forever and now.
But a heart so broken is too weak to know-how.
