There I was,
Driving to see my loved one,
Safe and sound in the care home.
Suddenly there was a problem!
I wanted to go left,
But the car was turning right!
Struggle as I did
The car just didn’t want to go,
Want to go the way I wanted.
So I let the car have its head,
Around the roundabout it went,
Up the road to the shopping precinct,
Into our normal car park,
And it stopped.
The engine went quiet
And try as I might
It would not start,
So I had to think about this
And went into my local,
Local coffee bar and had a coffee,
Americano, no milk, no sugar.
Drank my coffee,
Went back to the car,
It started easily,
And off I went,
Off to see my loved one,
With my coffee inside me.
My car really knows,
Really knows what I need.
