Zelma R McDevitt (An acrostic poem and tribute to my Mother)

Zest for life is what my Mother always had,

Even on days when she had felt bad.

Like driving to the store and walking an hour or two,

Myself, would always tag along too.

Always go to lunch or help her with a call,

Really it didn\'t bother me to do at all.

Most of the time, we would play cards or talk,

Card playing if she lost, she would really balk.

Do I remember all the times we spent together?

Every time I do, It\'s in my heart forever!

Visit her I did, nearly almost every week.

I didn\'t mind though my siblings didn\'t seek,

To find the time to visit, they couldn\'t find a way,

Though I treasure the time with her to this very day.

Much Love,

Your Son, Ed
