Our Lord sat by the treasury
In the Temple, did see
How each did give their offering
What money they did bring
He saw the rich men cast in such
Poor cast in not so much
In quantity, but quality
Our Lord each eart did see
He saw a certain poor widow
Casting in two mites so
And He said, Of a truth I say
She has giv\'n more today
Given more than all the rich, for
They of abundance sure
Gave what they did, but she so poor
Gave all, could give no more
All her living, a gift so rare
None other did compare
So help us Lord, generous be
And blessed be, as was she
