Walk in the pub for a bottle worth of rum
Stand alone in the corner whistling along
Puff on a fat cigar with a top hat and tail
Drink another ale telling some fairy-tales.
The piano spills the music onto rock n roll
Bet on an ace because it\'s nut\'s on the dole
Whiskey by the hour of every penny spent
And the domino man had another £50 lent.
High heels and suspenders, don\'t look twice
Pour another Scotch to make her doubly nice
Dogs lay low sat upon some old lady\'s lap
To pour another she said what a lovely chap.
Whilst he bent down to try and tie his lace
During this delirium, he saw her ugly face
And inside his jacket pocket, a swig will do
She shouted across the pub I\'ll have 1 too.
Rum by the bottle full, whiskey\'s too strong
Remember to get arrested or to move along
Depending on a pocket I shall try another 2
Glued to the barstool so it will be quite a few.
Words turn to a senseless banter and its fun
I had another one and realised what I\'d done
So that bent over man had now lost his shoes
He was so drunk he sang some karaoke blues.
Now it\'s one last chance to hit a double six
For those dodgy dice always seems to miss
To waste another swig for a swill of overtime
Now the bar is empty the whole bar is mine.
Good old times in The Old Victorian Inn
Memories remember the good old grins
Good old times when I always was a fool
Again tomorrow at 11 sitting on a barstool.
