I stood standing upon the roof
Frozen solid and couldn\'t move
Then suddenly I heard a voice
As baffled children made a noise.
So, I asked the stars what to do
If there are any answers to the truth
But, it seemed as if they always lied
The day was born since I never cried.
Captured the milky way on my mind
Where dozens of angels always find
The reality of when we all get older
As the darkened nights it gets colder.
Colder, yes, but our love will grow
Bend over backwards to never know
What love can bring from high above
Holding hands and hearts to love.
As I prayed every night to find my girl
She\'s such a shape and such a pearl
I woke up at 3 am and felt her hand
She sang me a song and said I can.
Next day she knocked on my door
My knees crumbled as I hit the floor
But, Heaven helped out with a touch
And love enough, but not too much.
She saw me walking down the street
Said hello and said is it okay to meet
Her beauty captured me way too soon
I can\'t wait to see if our love will bloom.
So I stood standing beside myself
Pinch my skin and do whatever else
To make an understanding of this life
As the gravy poured I kissed my wife.
Disaster struck that day she died
A wore-torn love that took her life
Broken in two I stood upon that roof
Where I was frozen I couldn\'t move.
So, I\'m heading on home back to bed
Where once slept my lady and said
To remember her at the end of life
Now the ring on my finger is my wife.
Now as age is creeping up on me too
I think of things which come too soon
Heavens above and along flies a dove
To have captured us together above.
She greeted me up, my loving dear
I saw her face and a love so clear
Back again as we kissed once more
And walked in and shut Heavens door.
