There\'s a world waiting somewhere in your heart
Out there\'s a future for each of us to play our part
Children swap with wooden sticks from years ago
Just make a better place and to let our love grow.
And there\'s a world outside your window waiting
Pick up the pieces and feel the pain of starvation
With tears filling upon the wagon stations lorries
Mother\'s, father\'s screaming out horrible horrors.
We can paint the biggest picture of it all inside
But, there\'s a feeling that we will probably hide
It\'s deeper to reach the soul of someone\'s loss
Left behind on this story of what we\'ve not got.
The sky is blue for you to reach up and touch
To witness the human race have fallen in love
With the poor, the homeless, the addicts end
Pull together even if it\'s just to find more friends.
There\'s another broken windowpane in pain
There\'s another ruthless kid who shot again
Low street ghettoes have fallen into despair
Why can\'t we just stop poverty being unfair?
Where have all the children gone to flower
Why do dictators instantly use their power
But can still stand beside all our heartaches
Joined in harmony we pray for children\'s sake.
And seasons slowly pass as another 1000 die
Of cold winds blowing enough to make us cry
Those roads are lost now we\'ve found a place
And in the Sahara, the Sunshine burns our face.
Now a million people in a row with no water
And there\'s a quarter-million dying daughters
With tiny feet, a child runs until he is killed
Where a pain died with an overdose of pills.
A lifetime of worth is waiting at your window
There\'s a thousand years of wisdom to know
The fellow human may entice a loves grace
Life looked brighter now we found our place.
I\'ll lay it down to the laws of natural life
And all I see is life in our beautiful light
There\'s someone looking out for blame
From a broken windowpane once again.
