The trials of a bookworm

Find me someone who can take me somewhere

That has dragons, princes and giants,

Or a faraway tree, or a flying chair,

That just can\'t be explained using science.

Find me someone who can show me a school

That teaches magic to young wizards and witches,

Or a doctor who challenged death with a monster

of body parts held together by stitches.

Find me someone who can go back in time,

To see balls and palaces and fine dresses,

Or to see the detective who\'s solved countless crimes,

And his friend, who recounts his successes.

Find me someone who\'s met hobbits and elves,

And fearlessly walked into Moordoor,

Has been to the \"future\" to see for themselves,

What life is like in the year \'84.

Find me someone who knows Lyra and Will,

Understands daemons, gyptians and Dust,

Has fairy friends and battled pirates with skill,

And who has the anti-aging thing sussed.

Find me someone who knows all of these tales,

And can take me along to find more,

Who can share with me all the gory details,

And show me things I\'ve not seen before.

Then, and only then, will I put down my book

And go out and socialise more!
