Be in dark places, be all alone
Paint pretty faces, faces of stone
Save your delusion, save us all
Kids on the block, 100 kids fall.
Blankets of pavements, early new
Raindrops dripping, drip over you
Cardboard as boxes, boxes of love
Lost dreams of light, light of a dove.
Old adults of old, freeze in the cold
Young ones of new, do as your told
Chained to a lock, lock up what\'s gone
And spirits rise up, rise up to be wrong.
Be in safe places, feel like you know
Sit in shop doorways, crying on show
Pain reflects poetry, poetry gives will
Climb over mountains, climb up a hill.
Drunken behaviour, drinking for what
Be on a train track, be not what you got
Flames from the heart, flames on fire
Over some distance, higher and higher.
Big houses and cars, big losses of love
Stood in the silence, stood up way above
Caught in a trap, a trap door for below
Running the distance, but it\'s time to go.
Stripped back and bare, don\'t really care
Blocked by the broken, broken everywhere
Filled up a dinner plate, sits Heavens gate
Tendencies for patients, a patient to wait.
Heartaches from the past lost all its life
Turning points return, return to a bright
Suffered in silence, in silence we pray
The pauper of hope, a King for one day.
Be in the distance, be where you are
Take in some space, a choice too far
Slacken the ropes, hang from a noose
Beggar in some belief, try not to choose.
A hole in your heart, a hole that is empty
Living life\'s demons, hands full of plenty
Cannonball chains, let go of your past
Change all the habits, don\'t think it\'ll last.
