Farmer boy 

Interest - Being in the state of wanting to know more about something or someone 

• At the pond I sit and dip my legs 

Feeling empty but never dead 

• What I thought was a thorn but was a petal

It poked me and felt heavy felt like metal 

• Petal by petal and stem by stem

I ponder at the pond when this burden will end 

• But what is this feeling wet and pure

What have I done in life to deserve this I am unsure 

• Twas a kiss on the cheek from a flower full of charm 

I still don’t know if I am worthy of this rose I grew on my arm
