True teachers do bring reminders
Of the true things, so stirs
The hearts and minds of Christian folk
To bear Christ\'s easy yoke
Such share Christ, they bring nourishment
As if tasty foods sent
To souls and spirits, edified
They be, faithful words tried
But refuse profanity, vanity
Where old wives fables be
They profit not, cause not to grow
They only gossip know
Exercise self to godliness
This will profit and bless
Exercise for body profits small
Godliness profits all
For of lives it has promises
Of life now, and it says
There be hope for the life to come
We attain heavenly home
This a faithful saying ,worthy
Of all acceptance be
So labouring on, e\'en reproach
When we the gospel broach
Broaching, sharing it to all so
The living God they know
And trust Him, Saviour of those who
Believe, and know Him true
