Still looking for that lost back road…
a lifetime spent to find
The one that’s waiting just for me,
to travel it sublime
It leads to my beginning,
every twist and every bend
To take me back inside myself
—all travel there to end

\'Punk\' Tuation
I hate Periods and like most Commas,
a Full Stop turns me off
Quotation Marks I can endure,
but Semi-colons not
I love a good Exclamation Point,
all Question Marks so so
But my favorite is the Em Dash
—replacing most of those

Mirage
The next time I see you
—you better be gone
(Dreamsleep: February, 2020)
Lost Or Found
I write prose so I can write poetry,
and poetry so I can write prose
Never prose that calls itself poetry
—or poetry that’s lost within prose
(Villanova Pennsylvania: February, 2020)
Rest In Peace \'Will Rogers\'
I see someone I love,
in everyone I meet
The wellspring eternal
—its blessings complete
(Villanova Pennsylvania: March, 2020)
Eyes Glaze Over
If the soap is running far and wide,
you need to check the box
Those leaks, the promises never kept,
from all that spew you talked
When eyes glaze over—attention lost,
its time to reassess
The truth has no expiration date
—your faults to now confess
(Villanova Pennsylvania: March, 2020)
The Most Convenient Truth
Where you stand tomorrow,
based on where you sit today
Your principles determined
by what you get
The ground below you moving,
feet shuffling back and forth
Saying this and saying that
—remembering to forget
(Villanova Pennsylvania: March, 2020)
