Quietness, stillness,
A night that is intrusively dark.
One decides to sleep
But the night wishes to chat.
A multitude of conversations
Long lasting into the sunrise.
My best and my worst ideas
I\'ve whispered to night\'s attentive ear.
The neighbor\'s cats purr by the window.
I imagine their eyes become translucent
When cars come by. To be a louse
Who can’t sleep at night
That is my best way
Of spending time. To my delight
The voices that mock, the eyes that judge,
All
Are long gone in night’s embrace.
