Hero

It takes more to spare a life than to take one,

So, swords, and mortar fire, become silent,

To usher in a red carpet for those who shine,

A light so bright, thus hero is their name.

They keep us healthy, they keep us sane,

They keep the storm out, when there is rain,

Though they need much-needed help,

They get on with magic without a yelp.

My hero, my hero, tells us what to do,

As your word is worthy for such a command,

We should all bow down, and heed the advice,

That pours out your mouths like medicine.

For you are here, and you are good,

You are the heart of our neighbourhood,

Thus, we are here to give you some relief,

So that your sore hands can carry less grief.
