she huddles in a dark room,
small, tight space,
finds comfort in the confines of suffocation,
her madness cannot escape if she shuts herself in.
she rocks back and forth,
something soothing about the motion,
dancing to a song never heard,
a lullaby to trick her thoughts into making sense.
she squeezes her eyes shut,
it doesn\'t change the darkness
still, it surrounds her, crowds within her,
billowing through every nook and cranny of her soul.
here, in this tiny space
she finds an escape from the pressures of her life
small snatches of moments
a respite from the world that expects too much from her
now, if only there was a way to escape the chaos of her mind.
