Tune: St Fulbert
(\'Ye choirs of new Jerusalem\')
********
There work to do, though too take time
In going through life\'s rhyme
To rest, and ramble as you may
Partake a pleasant day
By water\'s edge or country lane
Soul be refreshed again
in quietude and peaceful green
And fine wildlife scenes seen
By river-bank graceful heron
Takes off, a flightful one
Spreads wings, and clear-water below
Sun\'s beams or raindrops show
Enjoying views of creation
And then when journey done
Return in peace, calm and content
And maintain good intent
To walk, not rush, nor pressurise
As if strain for a prize
\'Tis not a race, but gentle stroll
Whether long or short all
