Paint Me A Picture

Paint me a picture of your younger days

Dust off the cobwebs, clear the fog and haze

Take me back to a time of innocence

A time when life more easily made sense

Memories of a lifetime gone by

Nostalgia brings me back, my oh my

Paint me a picture of what life was like

Growing up in your world while just a little tyke

Of Saturday mornings on swing sets you’d swing

Playing baseball, what joy it would bring

Remember Mighty Mouse and what he\'d say
\"Here I come to save the day\"

And who could forget Johnny Quest

With Haji, Bandit and all the rest

With your best friend, a walk to the corner store

A dollar in your pocket, sometimes even more

In a box of Cracker Jacks, a surprise you’ll find

Or of balsawood planes, propellers to wind

Why one of my favorites I think

Was that little green Rat Fink

Watching Walt Disney on Sunday nights

Fantastic Features and Mr. Feep, what frights

The Outer Limits was all of that

Monster movies, in theaters we sat

And, hey hey, how ‘bout those Monkees tunes

Before that was Beatles cartoons

Dr. Howard, Dr. Fine, Dr. Howard

Those Knuckleheads, in my life they towered

Mo, Larry cheese

Mo, Larry cheese

Mister Ed, Sullivan or the horse?

With Topo Gigo and Wilbur of course

Lassie and Timmy gave our hearts joy

What a relationship between a dog and a boy

From Branded to The Rifleman

Chuck Connors, a Boston Celtic, I remember him

Cassius Clay, a champion was he

Floats like a butterfly, stings like a bee

Paint me a picture in Technicolor please

All day long, I can reminisce memories like these
