Your Side

You told me what if I break a persons heart

Does mine deserve breaking

You told me what if I can’t reach for the stars I have been chasing

You told me what if the darkness becomes my friend

You ask me can I do it

Over and over again

You ask me will I be there

I tell you

The light bags on your back you can carry

The grass is always growing

The trees are always living

The moon is always shinning

All those things will be there

Just as I

Our bond will never die

As long as you allow me to be by your side

Our troubles will pass us by

You told me what if things start changing

What if our dreams are way too high

What if fate is not on our side

What if things don’t go right

What if our lives can’t collide

I tell you

Even if your bags get heavy

Your back doesn’t deserve breaking

Even if the grass stops growing

Even if the Trees stop living

Even if the moon fades in the night

I may not be able to carry your bags

Not alone

Not just I

But I can carry them with you

I know you would for me

You will always be there

Just as I

As our lives collide in darkness it can also do it in the light

By your side
