Our furry friend puts us to shame
In the giving of his faith,
Of his eating of his straw
Or his gestures in saving face.
He nods to his mortal prison,
And casts a glow on our misgivings,
He takes what he\'s offered
And doubles the interest risen.
A better example we\'ve never known
Nor a finer hamster does there exist,
Never knowing just what it is he does
Or the temptations that he resists.
He believes in us as you do,
With a chipper tooth to shine,
So if you\'re up there take a listen
Of this wonderful mate of mine.
I\'m telling you now, God
Wherever you may be;
If you don\'t take that hamster
Then we\'ll give him willingly!
Dedicated to Orchidee.
(All in good fun. I think he\'s the orange one.)
