Martha did to Jesus go
Her heart full of sorrow
She met Him there, Bethany
And said to Him, \"Lord, see
If you had been here, it so
I am assured and know
My brother Lazarus would
Not have died, lived he could\"
\"But I do know even now
You can help us here, how
It be so, I know whate\'er
You ask God, with Him share
He will give it to you, \'tis true\"
Jesus did say unto
Her, \"Your brother, he shall rise
Again, it be no lies\"
Martha said to Him, \"I know
He shall rise again, so
In the resurrection, this
That last day of fine bliss\"
Jesus said to her in need
\"I still my people heed
I am the resurrection
And the life for each one\"
\"They that believe in me, though
They die, yet shall live, know
This, and whosoe\'er in me
Lives and believes, so be
They shall never die, do you
Believe that this is true?\"
Martha said, \"Yes, Lord, I believe
Your words my griefs relieve\"
She said, \"I believe that you
Are Christ, Son of God true
The one who should come into
The world to give life new\"
Then her sister Mary too
Met Jesus, did Him view
He from the dead Lazarus raised
And all there were amazed
