*GLUCOSE (C6H12O6) is the first nutrient formed in PHOTOSYNTHESIS ~ In a simple Chemical Equation 6H2O + 6CO2 = C6H12O6 + 6O2 Note that Plants take in CO2 and give out O2 (oxygen) ! Animals do the opposite. Before the Industrial Revolution this maintained the CO2 level @ 260 ppm. It is now 450 ppm due to increased Technology (which produces CO2) and Deforestation which results in GLOBAL WARMING ! In the Plant Glucose is polymerised into STARCH (for food) & CELLULOSE for plant fibre and Animal Foodstuff. In the UK this process is studied @ Key Stage 4 & 5 for GCSE. Basically its all quite SIMPLE but unfortunately Governments don*t act on it. One solution is to eat less meat and use *Grazing Land* to grow Grain & Fruit & Veggies ~ it all make sense !
