That dog next door, he drives me spare;
Yap yap all day makes my life hell.
This mutt’s damn noise inflicts despair,
Disturbs the peace, and me as well.
Really small but with nagging sound
He chases non-existent foes.
Very conflicted, aren’t you hound?
You’ve sabotaged my daily doze.
Come on, tell me why such a row?
That presupposes you could speak:
“Once a noble wolf, but not now –
Man did this, he made me a freak.”
But there\'s more:
The Guest
My room had a mouse in a hole;
Lived there quite comfortably I felt,
Seemed such a solitary soul,
Just appeared happy where he dwelt.
Matters Arising: Was it ‘he’?
Are there mice which live on their own?
If so I thought I’d let him be
That is as he lodged there alone…
