Waiting to Start

Waiting in the old room, rain on the roof...

All so jaded now, often aloof...

Denial can be so forgiving when as victims we replay it in a timeless loop...

Yet for many, that rise like the sun and see all that we have become...

We then notice we might have won...

That what is left behind is what now becomes what we have begun...

To start anew in the joy that awaits...

Now in the silence that many see as despair...

That no longer care...

Yet for the saved, they can\'t wait...to make...

The quiet that teaches...

All that we may have reached...

Has fooled us into a peace...

We now understand, was never in our hands...

The second time around, we have found...

It can be forgiving, as we understand...
