Wasted Eden
You picked apart my garden
Took the fruit
Deemed good enough
Dug deep into my marl
Only to rebuff.
You left those flawed
To rot
In the soil of my soul
Broke the crust and watched
How the crumble took its toll.
You laid me
on the counter
Later deemed it all a waste
Swore the color made it bitter
The brand ruined the taste.
