One is crying in wilderness
It John the Baptist no less
Saying, Repent, and come, believe
The gospel, good news receive
Preapre you the way of the Lord
Make His paths straight, hear His word
People unto Jordan went out
To him, repenting, no doubt
They there were baptised by him for
They did confess their sins sure
Even Jesus, by John baptised
Sinless one, John he surprised
But it was an act to fulfil
All righteousness, in God\'s will
God the Father, from heaven, voice
Approved of His Son, His choice
Spirit of God on Christ descends
Like a dove, on Him attends
Voice said, This my beloved Son
I well pleased, good has been done
Give us grace Lord, so to repent
Where be things impenitent
Give us strength to share your gospel
To go out and others tell
