No one ever taught me to claim my body
Now it’s everyone’s else’s
A barren wasteland of landscapes
Chemical burns and 9 hour shifts
Touches slowly disintegrating into skin cells
I never claimed my body now it’s everyone else’s
Like a yearbook with too many signatures
Wasteful lump of tendons
Bones and boo
December chills
I never claimed my body so he claimed it for me.
And we are grateful forever.
