Seven angels, seven trumpets
Sounding each one sure begets
First trumpet, there followed hail, fire
Mingled with blood, judgement dire
They fell on the earth, and a third
Part of trees burnt up, true word
All green grass was burnt up, destroyed
Disastrous scenes, land made void
Second trumpet, a great mountain
Burning with fire was cast then
Into the sea, third part of sea
Became blood, polluted be
Third part of creatures in the sea
Which had life, they then died, see
And third part of the ships vanished
From seas, oceans were banished
Third trumpet, there fell a great star
From heaven, came from afar
Burning like a lamp, it did fall
On third part of rivers, pools
Name of star it is Wormwood called
Third part of waters were soiled
Became wormwood, many folk died
For waters bitter they tried
Fourth trumpet, third part of the sun
Smitten, shone for that part none
And third part of moon, third of stars
Did not shine, the darkness mars
Then angel through heaven flying
Said, Woe, woe, woe, in the things
To follow to mankind, it bound
