Dawn After Darkness

Tune: Saffron Waldon

(one tune to \'Just as I am\')

Psalm 88 v,10-13

*******

Plunging in prayer of one downcast*

He asks, Shall your mercies still last?

Lord, your loving-kindness, shall it

Be known in grave one whit?

Or shall your faithfulness be shown

When great destruction we have known?

Shall your wonders in dark be known?

Will they there still be shown?

And will your righteousness be known

As if it be you us disown?

As if land of forgetfulness

We be in, we not blessed?

But unto you he still does cry

Trusting you in dark still are nigh

Prayer, persisting, it a lifeline

Come, grant me help divine
