Trying to spread his word,
the vain speaker
was fighting off flies
attracted to his aroma.
“They won’t bite,”
a young boy alleged
“just harmless circle-flies.”
“Circle flies,”
the speaker inquired?
“You see them in pastures,”
the boy added,
“circling round horses Asses.”
“YOU CALLING ME A HORSES ASS?”
The dapper speaker shouted.
“No! That would be,
of me, ill-mannered.”
Grunting, the boastful
Speaker complied.
A thought
that caught
the boy’s mind,
“It’s, surely, hard
to fool those flies.”
