Happiness, do you remember that word?
When joy and laughter were part of this world
A Summer holiday, and an a ice cream Sundae
Love and affection could be on display
But tough times hit, like we never thought
Society stopped for the fear of being caught
Taken by Covid or dobbed to the police
For the last 12 months there’s been no peace
Loved ones lost, families kept apart
For the NHS we do our part
Society divided in what to do, should I take a vaccine or see it through
Freedom of speech, gone out the door
A difference of opinion? This means war!
Only together can we all pull though
The needs of many don’t outweigh the few
We pray for and hope for a better day
For a summer holiday and an ice cream Sundae
