rouses its waters

meet rising flood forces
on stone-bolstered cliff sides
but life carries on
despite crashes as wind-cries
bring briny destruction
while coastal people survive
against lethal sea storms
because all fisher-folk fight
to keep boats on shores
when each wave grows wilder.
