aDarkerMind

Three Blind Mice

hopelessly losing my mind in this valley of steel

lost in a moment of paraphernalia

cloning my very own self

reinventing the wheel.

look at the sky!

a startled look in its eyes.

I gave grave warning, now I see

there\'s no way back from such atrocities:

what will you give for pretending this planet is round?

with or without pandemic disorder

am humble enough

to bury apologies into the ground.

look at me now

with my shovel and towel

I have embalmed earths final tree

let it snap its neck and come swing with me;

watch helplessly now, a congregation down its knees.

confession itself is just a poisonous refuge

bring light to your candle,

burn your disease!

no longer alone

I have my pillar of stone.

let me sleep alone with my uncertainties

beneath a blanket of stone that now smothers me;

what can I do to substitute all of this for a deed?

watching the hurt as it flows through your dirt

where a thousand tin soldiers

planted their seed.

watch as they climb

this nursery rhyme

let us scale these walls for our greatest fall

before the three blind mice come and crush our balls!
