Although the fig tree not blossom
Nor any fruit from vines come
If produce of olive trees fail
And troubles they do prevail
If the fields they do not food yield
Lands as bare, barren, and pealed
If there no flock be in the fold
No cattle in stalls, behold
Yet I will in the LORD rejoice
And I will make Him my choice
Will joy in Him, He the God be
Of my salvation e\'er, see
May we trust, e\'en if each thing here
On earth, if it disappear
Hold sure to you, not feeling, sight
Turn our darkness to your light
