Him or You

In the night,
There are things I say.

When the moon is bright,
The words can change.

And the stars shine,
Just so I can remember.

These memories I share,
Have I told him or you?
Have I even been talking to you,
Is that the truth truly?
Will I ever know?

I\'ve felt crossed fates before,
And I\'m not one for games.

Nor those who speak little,
With too much of an ear.

When I trust just a bit too much,
And end up with the fear.

These memories I share,
Who has really been listening.
I can\'t really tell,
What the truth is anymore.
What will I do?

So gently ill slide away,
Across the state and country so.

To pines that have no name engraved,
On their ancient battleground.

Where not a single human soul resides,
Where I may find what I\'m looking for.

These memories I share,
They had a special purpose.
With only you in mind,
But what a shadow you became.
Were you in my mind?

Guess I\'ll never know,
Goodbye.
