Take Pride in Liking

I take pride in my ability to tell a guy I like him.

I made out with my friend in his car once, and we’re still friends.

We never talk about it, or the fact that

I got up the nerve to tell him that I liked him, like really liked him.

I made out with my friend in his car once, we’re still friends

even after I told him I liked him on three separate occasions.

I got up the nerve to tell him that I liked him, like really liked him.

He did not reciprocate the feeling of love.

Even after I told him I liked him on three separate occasions

he still wanted to be my friend.

He did not reciprocate the feeling of love.

I got hung up on him for months.

He still wanted to be my friend,

I told him we could work it out, but he shut me down.

I got hung up on him for months.

We still talk on occasion, but not enough.

I told him we could work it out, but he shut me down.

In the three years I’ve known him, he’s never once had an interest in me.

We still talk on occasion, but not enough.

I still think about that night, when I’m awake unable to sleep.
