Omens.
I chased this evening evening\'s parade,
woven-framed patterns of
tin-foiled filigree, gilt-tied
to greenery\'s final attempt to beat fade.
I watched as light lightened pale sky,
viewed universe-fire display
night\'s birthing dance
turning black into starry-eyed silence.
I saw change changing ether-haze hue
to dusk-covered eeriness
creeping round sickle-shaped
moon-smile thru\' dull-as-dust gloom.
I heard in day\'s goodbye goodbye\'s solo
purple-trailed, scarlet-dyed,
gold-streaked striped azure sung
in lunar duet with dark\'s rising crescendo.
I knew tonight tonight\'s black feelings
at sunset-divide, cloned-omens
from cauterized colours
spoke to my waiting canvas so clearly.
