Though the same general malaise; seeps through my essence,
These sights, just down the road, do not cause offence,
The pitter patter of feet, and the heat are most welcome,
So, I have upon my face a smile, that I wear quite seldom.
Though I think about being bondless, without a romantic pal,
I shall endeavour to see, to hear and to absorb the kind well,
My eyes wander to adjacent pubs, but I will drink this instead,
For life can be beautiful, without the need for a cloudy head.
Though I feel that my soul, is spread so wafer thin,
These scenes remind me, that not all of life is sin,
So, I re-learn that to destroy, is to plan for despair,
Thus, I will nourish my spirit, to become more fair.
